January and February

Like every new year, 2009 started with lots of plans involving school. Many youngsters were as usual excited to be going up another level, while some were excited to be joining school for the first time.
At Off Tu Mission, we had more to look forward to. All roads led to Off Tu Academy; With God we can.
Off Tu Academy opened officially on the 2nd of February 2009.
Our gratitude goes to all who supported the vision, and propelled it into reality.
The administration block is now complete, the school gate is in place as well as the sign posts.
An additional toilet block has also been constructed on the school premises.
So far, baby class has a population of 52, top class 23, while Primary 1 and 2 have 28 pupils. Primary 3 has 8 pupils.

Goodbye 2008 Welcome 2009

We thank God for his continued goodness to us ward. For taking us through 2008, and leading us to 2009. May he be praised continually. At Off Tu Academy, we are opening officially this February. The school has been given a Motto; With God We can.
Our guiding scripture this year is Luke 18:27..." The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
In the month of December, work on the administration block continued. The block has now been roofed and awaits plastering.

We need your prayers as we seek to furnish all the blocks with Chairs, school boards and shelves.
All the blocks need exterior plastering as well.

Recruitment of pupils starts soon as well. We intend to start with Nursery to Primary 3 level.



We also need your prayers for God's guidance as we choose staff members. Our desire is to choose the right people with a heart to serve and willingness to mould the children in a God fearing way.

The first term is set to open on 2nd February 2009 and by then the main gate should be in place, with proper signposts.
We also need to make the general environment at the Academy safe and suitable for children.

We do need your financial and prayer support for wisdom, knowledge and strength for the leaders so that we will be able to meet this deadline having completed all that is pending.

With God we can!!!

November 2008

Off Tu Mission Academy, is the name that has been chosen for the 'school'.
The interiors of the existing blocks have been painted.
Plans are still underway to start the school officially in 2009.
To fulfill the above, an administration block is a requirement.
Work has therefore begun on construction of the block, in preparation for opening in 2009.
We thank God immensely, who makes all things possible.

October 2008

In October, plastering of the interior walls of all blocks at the school was completed. We were also able to cement all floors. Landscaping of the outside is also still in progress.
We thank God who makes all this possible and for all of you for your continued support.

September 2008

We once again are celebrating victories at Off Tu Mission. At the school, we have been working on plastering the walls- starting with the interior.
There has also been some landscaping out side the blocks as a way of curbing erosion and tear.
We are again thankful for all your support in prayer and financially. Your labour is not in vain.

August

As we reported in July, roofing was embarked on in August.
We are very grateful and convey our sincere thanks for all your efforts and prayers which have made this possible.
For every one that is standing with us in this,our prayer is that God bless you and Multiply you. Your Labour is not in vain.

Off tu Mission School

Last month we reported about the classroom blocks that were under construction. We thank God very much and we are glad to inform you that all the 4 classroom blocks are now ready for roofing.

The community neighboring the school now has access to safe living water through one of the first solar powered LWTS in Uganda. We thank God for his goodness.

The pictures show some of the children from the community getting clean drinking water.

We thank God who has successfully brought us to the completion of phase 1 of the school construction. As soon as the four blocks are roofed (which is going on now), then phase one is complete.

The second phase is to include three classrooms, and Administration space. We believe God is faithful, and will provide for this phase as well.
